Good to know
What the tool does, exactlyWhy delimiters differ
In regions where the comma is the decimal separator, Excel saves “CSV” files with semicolons. Other systems export tabs or pipes. Importers usually expect one specific delimiter, so the file needs converting rather than editing by hand.
Quoting handled for you
Values that contain the new delimiter, quotes or line breaks are quoted automatically, and values that were only quoted because of the old delimiter are written plainly.
Private by design
The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded, so it’s safe for customer lists and financial exports.
Questions
About change delimiterDoes it change decimal commas like 4,50?
No. Values are copied exactly; only the separator between fields changes. A value such as “4,50” is quoted when the new delimiter is a comma.
Can it convert TSV files?
Yes. Choose Tab as the input delimiter, or let it be detected, and pick Comma for the output.
What line endings does it write?
The same line endings as the original file.
